FIR lodged against Kangana for allegedly spreading hate propaganda in West Bengal

A complaint has been filed against Kangana Ranaut for allegedly spreading ‘hate propaganda’ and inciting communal violence in West Bengal with posts on her Instagram account. As per a Times Now report, there’s no confirmation yet on if the actress has been served with a notice for the same. A few days ago, the ‘Queen’ actor’s Twitter account was suspended permanently for ‘repeated violations of rules.’ A spokesperson from the micro-blogging site said in a statement, “We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behaviour that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy. We enforce the Twitter Rules judiciously and impartially for everyone on our service."

Kangana's brand image took a big hit after her Twitter suspension. Fashion designers Anand Bhushan and Rimzim Dadu took to their respective social media and announce that they are banning all future projects with Kangana Ranaut. The two designers also said that they will be removing all past collaboration images from their social media channels. Anand Bhushan took to Twitter to post his statement that said, “In view of certain events today, we have taken a decision to remove all collaboration images with Kangana Ranaut from our social media channels. We also pledge never to be associated with her in any capacity in the future. We as a brand do not support hate speech (sic).”Bollywood star Swara Bhasker appreciated the two designers for “calling out hate speech”. She shared the screenshots of their statement with the caption, “Pleasantly surprised to see this! Kudos to you @AnandBhushan & #RimzimDadu for calling out hate speech and incitement to genocide in a direct manner! Stand tall you guys! (sic).”Kangana had demanded ‘President’s rule in West Bengal’ after Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) won the recent assembly elections in the state and there were reports of violence in Bengal.
