Gold worth 1.5 kg lost in Hyderabad floods by employee of a jewellery store

In a shocking development, an employee of a jewellery store  who hails from Hyderabad has alleged that a bag containing 1.5-kilo gold jewellery got washed away in Hyderabad rains.  According to reports, the incident ook place in Banjara Hills. A complaint has been registered in the local police station and currently the search is on Ajay Kumar Agarwal, partner of VS Gold, Basheerbagh, lodged a complaint with Banjara Hills police alleging that his employee, Pradeep Kumar Bodake, claimed to have lost 1.5 kilo gold ornaments while bringing them to their office from another jewellery store in Jubilee Hills  on October 9 night.

“Pradeep claimed while travelling on a scooter, he kept the jewellery bag between his feet and near Kangaroos School on Road Number 3, Banjara Hills, the scooter got stuck in stormwater flowing across the road and the bag got washed away,” Banjara Hills inspector (Detective) Md Hafeezuddin said. Police later found the empty bag nearby at a garbage bin. The executive has been reportedly arrested.  Unprecedented torrential rain that wreaked havoc in Hyderabad and its suburbs in the last 24 hours claimed at least 17 lives and threw normal life out of gear. Several low-lying areas in Begum Bazar, Khairatabad, Begumpet, Tolichowki, Shaikpet, Mehdipatnam, Cherlapally, Mallapur, Moula Ali were completely submerged. Storm water entered several residential apartments in Somajiguda, Errum Manzil, Khairatabad and Vijayanagar Colony.
