How to get ration card online from the comfort of your homes

After the implementation of One Nation One Card system in the country, it has become even more important for people to have a ration card. Not only is it used to get cheap rations, but it also serves as an identity card. If you do not have a ration card yet, you can now apply online from home (Apply online for ration card). For this, websites have been started on behalf of all the states. You can apply by visiting the website of the state in which you are a native. There are two types of ration cards. At present there are two categories of ration cards in the country. One for BPL category and the other without BPL category. 

Depending on the income, you can choose which ration card you want to apply for. You must first visit the official site of your respective state. Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport can be given as ID proof for making ration card. If this card is not available then any i-card, health card, driving license issued by the government can be given. You have to pay a fee of Rs. 5 to 45 along with applying for ration card. Once the application is submitted, it is sent for field verification. The officer checks and confirms the information filled in the form.This check is completed within 30 days of application. If the check is found to be correct, the ration card is issued within 30 days. Apart from this, the applicants can also apply for ration card at the Common Service Center. There are portals of all the states for ration card where you can apply. If any detail is found to be wrong then the applicant can also be subject to legal action. Moreover, it is mandatory for a person to be a citizen of India to get a ration card and should not have ration card of any other state.
