COVID-19: Karnataka govt issues new inter-state travel rules

With the increase in the COVID-19 cases in Karnataka, the state government has released new travel advisory, i.e. restrictions. The state authorities have listed new travel rules in Karnataka in detail, in case any person intends to travel to the state. Karnataka's chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa has said that these revisions in travel rules comes after the spike in COVID cases in the state.

Check out the rules listed below: 

1. If you are travelling to the state from Maharashtra, you will have to undergo seven days of mandatory institutional quarantine followed by seven days of home quarantine.

2. If you are travelling to Karnataka during lockdown from Delhi or Tamil Nadu, you will have to undergo three days of institutional quarantine followed by 11 days of home isolation.

3. If you are travelling to Karnataka from any other state in India, except from Delhi, Maharashtra, or Tamil Nadu, you will be required to be quarantined at home for 14 days after you arrive in the state.

4. Any individual travelling to Karnataka or merely transiting through the state is mandatorily required to register to the state government's Seva Sindhu portal. The Karnataka government advises that people registering on the portal must provide the correct information about their destination address, contact details, etc.
