In the midst of political uproar going on in Maharashtra since 3 days, on Monday , a petition of opposition parties (ShivSena, NCP-Congress) was heard in the Supreme Court for one and a half hours.

In the midst of political uproar going on in Maharashtra since 3 days, on Monday , a petition of opposition parties (ShivSena, NCP-Congress) was heard in the Supreme Court for one and a half hours. The top court reserved the verdict after hearing arguments from all the parties. The apex court will deliver the verdict in the case at 10:30 am on Tuesday. The petitioners demanded a floor test in 24 hours. The Centre also said that the floor test would be better, but it is not necessary that it should be done in 24 hours only. On this, the NCP-Congress lawyer said that when both the parties want floor test, why it should be  delayed?

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday praised the Supreme Court order for conducting a power test in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. He said "I am grateful to Hon'ble SC for upholding democratic values and constitutional principles. It's heartening that the Maharashtra Verdict came on the #ConstitutionDay, a Tribute to Bharatratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar!" Pawar tweeted.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said on Tuesday that it respects the Supreme Court's order to conduct a power test in the Maharashtra Assembly on Wednesday and is confident that it will prove its majority in the House. State BJP chief Chandrakant Patil told reporters here, “We respect the order of the top court. We are ready to prove majority.”

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday on the Supreme Court's directive to allow Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to ensure a power test on Wednesday, said that truth cannot be defeated. Raut tweeted, "Satyamev Jayate."

Senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan expressed satisfaction on Tuesday on the Supreme Court's directive to conduct a power test in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Wednesday and said that Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP have majority in the House. He said, "Shiv Sena, Congress, NCP are satisfied with the order of the Supreme Court regarding the power test in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. The Constitution was honored on Constitution Day. Chavan said, “We are confident that we have a majority in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. BJP's tall claims will be exposed tomorrow".

On the Supreme Court's directive to allow Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to ensure a power test on Wednesday and no secret ballot, NCP said on Tuesday that Satyamev Jayate and "BJP's game is over". NCP spokesman Nawab Malik tweeted after the apex court system, "Satyamev Jayate, BJP game over".

The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Governor of Maharashtra to ensure a strength test in the state assembly on November 27. Now Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will have to prove his majority in the Assembly on Wednesday. The apex court directed Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to also ensure that all elected members of the house take oath on Wednesday. The court said that the entire process should be completed by five o'clock.

BJP mocked the parade of opposition Shiv Sena-NCP and Congress MLAs. The party said that on Monday that their party will register the last victory on the floor of the assembly. Addressing a press conference, BJP leader and former Maharashtra minister Ashish Shelar criticized the Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) -Congress's 'identity parade', calling it a cruel joke on the people of the state and democracy.

Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress paraded it's legislators at the Grand Hyatt Hotel and claimed a majority of 162 MLAs late Monday (25 November) amid political turmoil in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, NCP chief Sharad Pawar attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said that we have come here together for the people of Maharashtra. A government was formed without a majority in the state. The BJP did not have a majority in Karnataka, Goa and Manipur but formed the government. We will have no problem proving the majority. He further said that he who is suspended from the party, cannot give any order. I will bring more than 162 MLAs on the floor test day. It is Maharashtra not Goa.

The Congress has decided to protest from the Parliament to the road over the Maharashtra political crisis issue. The decision was taken after a long discussion with party president Sonia Gandhi with senior party leaders. Party sources said that on the occasion of Constitution Day on Tuesday, the Congress along with other allies will boycott the joint meeting called by the government. According to sources, through this, the party wants to give the message that th BJP is murdering democracy in the state. According to sources, if this situation continues in Maharashtra, Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena will also protest in Mumbai.

Decision on floor test in Maharashtra today at 10: 30 am
On the direction of the court, Congress-NCP and Shiv Sena withdrew the affidavits of 154 MLAs. On Monday, Justice N.V. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta (Centre), Kapil Sibal (Shiv Sena), Abhishek Manu Singhvi (NCP-Congress), Mukul Rohatgi (Devendra Fadnavis), Maninder Singh (Ajit Pawar) submitted arguments before the Bench of Ramana, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Sanjeev Khanna.
