Opposition leaders suspect foul play by cops in Vikas Dubey encounter: Full Details

Gangster Vikas Dubey who was arrested from the Mahakal temple in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain on Thursday, has been killed in a police encounter.  The car in which Vikas Dubey was being taken overturned on the highway that was slippery with rain and he tried to escape after snatching a gun, according to the police. He was shot dead, like many of his accomplices who, according to the police, had also tried to escape from custody. However, opposition is unwilling to believe these theories as leaders suspect foul play in the death of Dubey.

Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Akhilesh Yadav tweeted, "In fact, this car has not overturned, the government has been saved from overturning by revealing the secret". Even Tej Pratap Yadav refuse to believe the police version of  a scuffle between the cops and the gangster. "The car had to be overturned to prevent the government from overturning" tweeted Tej Pratap. J&K Leader Omar Abdullah, reacting to the death of Gangster Vikas Dubey, said -"Dead men tell no tales", hinting at the allegations of a nexus between Dubey and powerful politicians/police officials. Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh reacted to Vikas Dubey's death - "Exactly what we had been suspecting, happened now. Which political figures, police and other officials that Vikas Dubey was connected to, will never be known now." Deputy Leader of Shiv Sena and Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra, commented on Vikas Dubey's death -"Na rahega bas, na bajegi basuri."
