Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed the first rally in the state on Monday in view of the assembly elections in Jharkhand. While giving his speech he said that last year elections were held in Chhattisgarh and within a year, Congress has changed the whole face of the state.
During his speech in Jharkhand's Simdega he said that the Chhattisgarh BJP government had "taken away" the land of tribals and gave it to industrialists, but when the Congress came to power they returned them their land.
Rahul said that whenever we promised farmers loan waiver, they fulfilled it when they came to power. If our coalition comes to power in Jharkhand too, we will do the same here.
Assembly elections are being held in five phases in Jharkhand and the first phase ended on Saturday.
