Rahul Gandhi refuses to apologize for his 'Rape in India' comment

On Friday the Lok Sabha witnessed noisy scenes soon after it assembled for the day after the members of the BJP demanded an apology from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks that 'Make in India' programme was being converted into "Rape in India".

The uproar in the House continued for almost half an hour after which the Speaker adjourned proceedings till 12 noon.

The BJP members were on their feet soon after the House met for the day with Arjun Ram Meghwal, Locket Chatterjee, Smriti Irani demanding an apology from Congress leader for his remarks.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has categorically refused to apologize for his remarks in 'Rape in India'. Rahul made these remarks at an election rally in Godda, Jharkhand, and BJP MPs asked Rahul Gandhi to apologize. After the adjournment of the Lok Sabha, the former Congress president said, "I will not apologize ...".
