Trivendra Singh Rawat: COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy found in Muslim communities

The number of corona cases in the country has crossed the two crore mark. Three million people have lost their lives due to corona. Efforts are being made to prevent the spread of virus. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has made a statement. People in the Muslim community have strongly stated that they are reluctant to get vaccinated against corona. Rawat also said that there are many misconceptions in the Muslim community regarding vaccination.

Trivendra Singh Rawat expressed this view while interacting with journalists during a program on Monday. Speaking to reporters after a function organized in Rishikesh on the occasion of World Blood Donation Day, Rawat expressed his views. "I am deliberately taking the name but people in the Muslim community in our country are currently staying away from vaccination. There is still doubt in their minds. They are still scared and have a lot of misconceptions about vaccinations," Rawat said.

Rawat also appealed to social organizations and social media to help spread awareness among the Muslim community that vaccination is not dangerous. "If you don't get vaccinated, the virus will not be eradicated. If you don't get vaccinated, you can become infected and become a super spreader. I urge everyone to come forward for vaccination. Herd immunity will be established only after 80 per cent of the people in the country are vaccinated." Rawat has said. A Hindi website has reported about this.
