UPSC postpones the Civil Services (Preliminary) exams to 10 Oct 2021

Amid surge in covid cases across the country, the National Public Service Commission has announced a decision to postpone the Civil Service Preliminary Examination to be held on June 27. A circular has been issued in this regard on Thursday.

UPSC has informed that this examination will be held on 10th October. The National Public Service Commission had on June 27 conducted a preliminary examination for the recruitment of IAS, IPS and IFS officers.

UPSC conducts examinations for aspiring candidates for selection of officers in Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).

A total of 712 posts in Group A and Group B were to be filled through civil service examinations. The preliminary examination was held on June 27, 2021.
Forms for this exam were issued on March 4, 2021. Only the candidates who pass the preliminary examination are selected and appear for the main examination.
