Bodybuilder and Former Mr. India Senthil Kumaran dies of COVID-19

In a tragic news, Senthil Kumaran Selvarajan, a former Mr. India winner and bodybuilder from Tamil Nadu died of COVID-19 as per a Republic Media report. The news of his shocking demise was announced by his trainer, Chris Aceto. Taking to Instagram to share news of the untimely passing, Aceto wrote, "It’s with incredible sadness that I am sharing the very painful news of the sudden passing of Indian superstar in the making Senthil Kumaran Selvarajan. Senthil was a remarkable bodybuilder. I used to fill his ears with 'we are going to the Olympia 212 or Classic for sure'. I meant it. He believed it". Survived by his wife and son, Selvarajan was to become a father for the second time "within the month" 

Aceto wrote. "Senthil is a great student and friend. I am sure all of the Indian bodybuilding community is in shock and will miss him dearly, as will his close friends and family. I miss you already. I am saddened yet feel even sadder for your family. I am so honored to have known you," he concluded. Apart from Selvarajan, international bodybuilder Jagdish Lad died due to coronavirus early in May. Last year, bodybuilder Satnam Khattra had also died of a heart attack after a short period of illness. Selvarajan is on from Tamil Nadu and had won Mr. India and then finished second at the Shery Classic in 2013. The bodybuilder was well-respected in the Indian bodybuilding scene and the man showed a lot of potential. Last month, Selvarajan had also posted a before and after picture of himself, where he showed the change in him from after the first phase of coronavirus lockdown to just before the second phase of the lockdown.
