Boxing great Floyd Mayweather offers to pay the entire expenses of George Flyod's funeral

Former boxing champion Floyd Mayweather has offered to pay for George Floyd's funeral and memorial services, and the family has accepted the offer.Mayweather personally has been in touch with the family, according to Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions. He will handle costs for the funeral on June 9 in Floyd's hometown of Houston, as well as other expenses. Floyd's death sparked protests across the United States over the weekend. 

George Floyd was a victim of a racially motivated crime by Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin.Officer Chauvin pinned down Floyd and pressed his knee over his neck for over nine minutes. Moreover, the last two minutes and fifty-three seconds of which he was unresponsive. The officer in question as well as his partners were arrested and he was charged with murder in the third degree.
