Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have made a brilliant start to their campaign in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. The Virat Kohli-led side has managed three wins in their first four games and is currently sitting at the 2nd spot in the IPL 2020 points table. RCB were on the points table for a brief period on Saturday after their win over Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi

While 2020 has already been a strange year with world adopting to several changes due to the coronavirus pandemic, IPL has also managed to spring surprises so far this season as RCB was later taken over by Delhi Capitals, who defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in the second game of the day.

RCB defeated Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets on Saturday to move to the top of the table. Reacting to their good start to the tournament and the contrasting positions of the two teams on the points table, former New Zealand cricketer and expert Scott Styris called 2020 "one screwed up year".

"2020 really is one screwed up year! @RCBTweets are currently top of the @IPL AND @ChennaiIPL are at the bottom," he wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

IPL too has not been left untouched and the first few weeks of the tournament have been full of surprises. While Chennai Super Kings (CSK) - one of the most consistent teams in the league's history is at the bottom of the points table with only 1 win in their first four games, RCB, who have finished 8th, 6th and 8th in their last three seasons, went on top of the table on Saturday.

However, RCB's stay on the top was not for too long as Delhi Capitals jumped to the top once again after they got the better of Kolkata Knight Riders in a high-scoring encounter in Sharjah.

Delhi Capitals defeated Knight Riders by 18 runs to successfully defend the target of 229 runs and move to the top spot on the basis of a better net run rate than RCB.

Chennai Super Kings, who have made the play-off in all the seasons they have featured in, are in danger of missing out for the first time. Having lost 3 matches on the trot after their win on the opening night of IPL 2020 against Mumbai Indians.
