Tabraiz Shamsi, the world's No.1-ranked T20I bowler, will join Rajasthan Royals for the remainder of IPL 2021. This will be Shamsi's second stint in the IPL. He had played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2016, again as a replacement player, and taken three wickets in four games at an economy rate of 9.18. Overall, Shamsi has played 163 T20 games, taking 183 wickets at an average of 22.42 and an economy rate of 7.18. The South African has been roped in as replacement for Andrew Tye who will miss the second leg due to personal reasons.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Wednesday roped in English fast bowler George Garton as a replacement for Australian pacer Kane Richardson for the remainder of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season in the UAE. The uncapped left-arm quick has featured in 38 T20 matches and has taken 44 wickets with a bowling average of 20.06.As a batsman, Garton has a batting average of 20.77 in T20s, with a strike rate of 124.66.This will be Garton's debut season in IPL, the RCB said in a release.

Wanindu Hasaranga the upcoming, Sri Lanka all-rounder added another big tick in his box when he was added to the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad to take part in the team's campaign in the remaining half of the IPL. Adam Zampa’s unavailability meant that the Bangalore franchise had to look for a like-for-like replacement of the Aussie cricketer.

Kolkata Knight Riders roped in senior New Zealand seamer Tim Southee as a replacement for Australia's Pat Cummins.Southee has been part of the Rajasthan Royals, the Chennai Super Kings, the Mumbai Indians and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the past. He will now reunite with his former captain Brendon McCullum, who is now the Knight Riders' head coach.Cummins was snapped up by the Knight Riders for INR 15.5 crore (US$ 2.2 million approx.) in the IPL 2020 auction, and had been a key member of the side since. In the first half of this year's IPL in India, before Covid-19 cases in many of the squad bubbles forced a postponement, Cummins had played each of the Knight Riders' seven games, taking nine wickets and scoring 93 runs, including a career-best 66 not out that gave the Super Kings a scare in Mumbai.

Punjab Kings have signed Adil Rashid as a replacement player for the UAE leg of IPL 2021. The 33-year-old England legspinner, the joint-highest wicket-taker at The Hundred, replaces Australian fast bowler Jhye Richardson, who along with compatriot Riley Meredith, has withdrawn from the second half of the tournament.

Punjab Kings have named Australia pacer Nathan Ellis as a replacement player for the UAE leg of IPL 2021. Ellis recently set the T20 world ablaze as he became the first bowler ever to pick up a hat-trick on International debut.Ellis claimed figures of 3/34 on debut against Bangladesh in August, 2021.The youngster was also recently named in the reserves squad of Australia for the 2021 T20 World Cup.

2008 champions Rajasthan Royals signed Glenn Phillips as replacement for Jos Buttler who will miss the UAE leg of IPL 2021. Phillips has so far played 25 T20Is and has 506 runs against his name. He has scored a hundred and 2 half-centuries and has a strike-rate of 149.70. 24-year-old Phillips represents Auckland in New Zealand’s domestic cricket, and made his international debut for New Zealand during a bilateral T20I series against South Africa in 2017. The top-order batsman has 506 runs to his name in 25 T20Is with a strike rate of 149.70 and has also been involved in various cricket leagues around the world, most recently in The Hundred and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Royal Challengers Bangalore have bolstered their squad by adding Sri Lankan pacer Dusmantha Chameera in their ranks. Chameera was an integral part of the limited-overs series against India in July, in which Sri Lanka emerged victorious 2-1 in the T20Is with the young pacer putting in impressive performance. Chameera replaces Daniel Sams in the Virat Kohli led side.
