Four months later, there is good news for Indian cricketers. The postponement of the Twenty20 World Cup has paved the way for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The 13th season of the IPL will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 19 to November 8/10. So there is excitement among all the players. But, despite the joy of starting cricket, the players have to spend 5 months away from their families for it.

Following the BCCI's plan, the Indian team's national training camp will be held, after which the players will leave for the UAE for the IPL. However, the BCCI has not yet made any official announcement about the training camp.

Eight teams are expected to leave for the IPL on August 20, said Brijesh Patel, chairman of the governing council. However, the BCCI still needs permission from the central government.

Initially there was talk that the IPL would be 51 days, but now that period has been extended to 53 days. An official announcement is expected next Saturday.

The IPL final is being discussed on November 10 instead of November 8. The reason behind it is the same. Because, the Indian team is going to tour Australia directly from UAE. Therefore, players going on tour to Australia will have to stay in the UAE till the end of the IPL.

The IPL will be without spectators in view of the corona virus crisis. Without it, players will not be able to take their families with them.

So if the players from the UAE are going to tour Australia directly, they will have to stay away from their families for about 150 days. In Australia, too, the BCCI is unlikely to allow families to be taken along.

India's tour of Australia will be for more than two months. The tour will start with a Test series from December 3. It will be a series of four Tests, three ODIs and three Twenty20 matches.
