Smriti Mandhana is one of India's most promising female cricket stars. She has been a vital cog of the Team India side across all formats since 2013. Mandhana holds multiple records in the international arena and the explosive opener is also the face of Indian cricket.

The premier batswoman spearheaded India's recently concluded tour of England comprising a one-off Test, three One Day Internationals (ODIs), and as many T20Is.

The only second cricketer to feature in a foreign T20 league was only nine years old when she signed up for cricket trials. Two years later, Mandhana ended up starring in the Maharashtra Under-19 side.

Mandhana joined the senior team four years later. India's rising star was only 17 when she became the first Indian female cricketer to notch up a double century in a limited-overs match.

Interestingly, Smriti smashed the record-breaking double ton with Rahul Dravid's bat.

In conversation with Gaurav Kapoor on the show Breakfast with Champions, the Team India superstar recalled how former Team India skipper Dravid gifted a signed bat to her brother Shravan when he visited Bangalore.

"He met Rahul Sir and requested him if he could give a bat. So he gave it to him and signed it with my name. My brother was also very sweet, got him to sign it for me. I was just going to keep it as a showpiece as an autographed bat from Dravid.

As soon as I picked it, I found it had an amazing balance and I started playing with it. The double century which I scored, that was with Rahul Sir's bat," Mandhana recalled.

Mandhana had scored 224 off just 150 balls when she plied her trade in West Zone Women's Under-19 one-day tournament. . The Indian opener smashed 32 boundaries and ending up reaching her record-double ton in just 138 balls.
