Virat Kohli-led India will arrive in England earlier than expected for World Test Championship final.

Virat Kohli-led Team India will play World Test Championship final against New Zealand from June 18.

Virat Kohli's Team India will also tour England for a high-profile bilateral series.

Prior to the unfortunate postponement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, players from the Indian and New Zealand contingents participating in the cash-rich league were expected to board chartered flights for the UK following the conclusion of the T20 tournament.

However, the 14th season of the cash-rich league has been suspended indefinitely after multiple COVID-19 cases were reported in its bio-bubble.

In the aftermath of the deadly COVID-19 surge, the British government had opted to name India on the travel 'red list' in April. Thus, citizens of the UK can only enter their native country after completing the mandatory quarantine in government-approved hotels.

According to a report filed by India Today, it has been learned that the Kohli-led side might leave for England around the month-end amid the travel restrictions due to the second wave of novel coronavirus.

The report added that The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to name the final squad for the World Test Championship final against England sooner than expected to make sure that government permissions are granted for the travel and quarantine guidelines.

Members of the Indian continents will also undergo quarantine and mandatory testing in India before getting a green light to take their flight
