Former South Africa captain and Mumbai Indians stalwart, Quinton de Kock has completed his mandatory quarantine period and is ready to play for the five-time champions in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League.

MI’s Director of Cricket Operations, Zaheer Khan recently confirmed that the wicketkeeper-batsman, who missed his side’s campaign opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore, will be available for the next game.

“Quinton de Kock is out of his quarantine. He recently did his practice session with the team, he’s looking forward to the season. So yes, he’s available for tomorrow’s game,” Zaheer was quoted as saying by espncricinfo.com.

The defending champions failed to get going in their first match of IPL 2021 against the Virat Kohli-led side as they suffered two-wicket defeat at the MA Chidambaram Stadium Stadium in Chennai.

After Harshal Patel restricted Rohit Sharma’s men at 159/9 with his brilliant five-wicket haul, AB de Villiers showcased his masterclass and helped RCB to chase down the paltry target.

Following their disappointing defeat, Mumbai Indians will be looking to bounce back in their second game against the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 13 in Chennai.

Notably, KKR will be heading into this contest on the back of a spectacular 10-run win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday.
