Bollywood and TV celebs who committed suicide during COVID-19 lockdown

Amid the COVID-19 lockdown some shocking events unfolded in the film and television industry. A number of popular and lesser known celebs bid the world adieu.

Bhojpuri actor Anupama Pathak was found dead at her home in Mira Road. A day earlier, Anupama Pathak had shared in a Facebook video that she was cheated and was unable able to trust anyone. In the video, she spoke about trust issues and not having friends who can be of help. She ended her life when her husband was out for some work, police said. A suicide note was found at the spot.

TV actor and model Samir Sharma was found dead last night at his Mumbai home. His body was found by a security guard who alerted other members of the apartment complex. The actor was living on rent at the Malad home. The 44-year-old actor - seen in Balaji Telefilms' popular TV shows "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" and "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki"

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his residence in Mumbai. The actor was found dead at his sixth floor apartment in Bandra (West). While the police have confirmed that he has died by suicide, no ‘note’ was found from his residence.

Sushant Singh Rajput and Varun Sharma’s ex-manager, Disha Salian, died after falling off a high-rise in Mumbai’s Malad. She was 28. Disha had also worked with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and comedienne Bharti Singh.

Actress Preksha Mehta from 'Crime Patrol', 'Lal Ishq' and 'Meri Durga' hanged herself at her home in Indore on the night of June 25.

Manmeet Grewal, a 32-year-old actor of 'Aadat Se Majboor', fame committed suicide at his home in Navi Mumbai on May 15.

Kannada actress and TV anchor Chandana VK Heen also committed suicide. She committed suicide after her boyfriend refused to marry her and she had made a video before committing suicide.

In Chennai, Tamil actor Sridhar and his sister Jaya Kalyani committed suicide. On June 6, news of his suicide surfaced.

Actor Sushil Gowda of Kannada TV industry committed suicide on July 8.
