Starring Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit, every scene in Devdas was so perfect that the film is considered a cult classic.

Devdas was the most expensive movie ever released till 2002. The movie with a budget of Rs 50 crore was produced by Bharat Shah.

The magnificent set of 'Devdas' was special. Hundreds of workers worked day and night for 7 to 9 months to make this set. The set cost Rs 20 crore. In particular, the construction of Chandramukhi's 'Kotha' costed a whopping Rs 12 crore.

The set of Paro's house was made with the help of stand glass. It was starting to rain when the shooting started. So this glass had to be constantly painted. 1.2 lakh stand glass was used to build this house.

Surprisingly, 42 generators were used on the set of this movie. Different lights were used in the movie. Cinematographer Vinod Pradhan used 2500 lights and for this 700 lightmen were deployed on the set.

Each of Madhuri Dixit's outfits cost around Rs 15 lakh. The dress was designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

The lehenga worn by Madhuri in the song Kahe Chhed Chhed Mohe weighed 30 kg. But she did not dance. Then another 16 kg lehenga was made.

You must have seen more than one beautiful sari in Aishwarya Rai movie. Sanjay Leela Bhansali had bought 600 special sarees for her from Kolkata. These sarees were patched together to create a different look.

Normal sachi is 6 meters. But each saree of Paro was 8-9 meters long. It used to take Neetu Lulla more than 3 hours to create every look of hers.

Ismail Darbar provided the music for the movie. It took them 2 years. Each song was recorded for 10 days, after which it was mixed 8-9 times. Meanwhile, there were discussions between Imsail Darbar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
