Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank's daughter to make her Bollywood debut

The daughter of Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Arushi Nishank, is going to make her debut in the Hindi film industry with ‘Tarini’.

Arushi Nishank is the daughter of the Education Minster of India, Ramesh Pokhriyal. A disciple of Birju Maharaj, Arushi is an International Kathak dancer.

She will be making her Bollywood debut with Tarini. The film tells the story of six courageous Indian women Naval officers, who sailed across the globe for 254 days.

The official Twitter handle of T-Series announced the film on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2021. The caption read, “Bringing to you the story of 6 courageous Indian women Naval officers who fearlessly circumnavigated the globe for 254 days. #Tarini going on floors soon.

Announcing the film, Arushi wrote on Instagram, “On the occasion of International Women’s Day, overjoyed with the announcement of Film #Tarini. A historic journey of six undaunted Indian women naval officers who braved storms, conquered fears to sail into history.

The All women crew circumnavigated the globe in an 55 foot yacht INS TARINI travelling 21,600 nautical miles in 254 days.#Tarini going on floors soon.

Arushi Nishank married Abhinav Pant on January 24, 2015. She is also an International Kathak Dancer and is quite vocal about environmental issues.

Arushi Nishank often indulges in social welfare. She is the recipient of the International Award for the Ganga Bachao Abhiyan.

She has co-founded an organisation called Sparsh Ganga. The organisation was found in December 2009.
