Sara Ali Khan, despite complex family relationships, share a cordial bond with her stepmother Kareena Kapoor Khan.

There is no animosity between the budding actress and Kareena, and Sara has made it very clear in each of her interviews.

A couple of months ago, pictures of Sara Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan hugging each other outside Saif’s residence went viral on the internet.

Speaking to host Karan Johar in the chat show Koffee With Karan, Sara Ali Khan spoke at lengths about how her mother Amrita Singh dressed her up for Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s wedding.

Sara Ali Khan was appreciative of her parents, Saif Ali Khan, Amrita Singh and also Kareena Kapoor Khan for keeping things very clear with her right from the beginning. She revealed why she never calls Kareena her mom, choti maa or even Aunty and the reason is hilarious.

She said, “You know I feel that everyone has been very clear with me vis-a-vis the equations.

It's never been confusing. Kareena herself was saying and she still says that look "you have a mother and you have a great mother at that and what I want is for us to be able to be friends.”

She added, “My father also never said "This is your second mother" or made it anyway uncomfortable.”

When Karan Johar asked why she doesn’t call Kareena Kapoor Khan her ‘choti ma’, sara quipped, “Never, never, never, never. I think Kareena would probably have a nervous breakdown if I was to call her Choti Ma. And she will be like What? No.”

Saif Ali Khan joked that Kareena wouldn’t like even Taimur to call her mom.

Sara opened up more about their family equation. She said, “So, I don't think there was any way any confusion about what which equation was and you know... I also somewhere down the line it's very important to respect what other people want
