Kimi Katkar made her acting debut in the 1985 film Patthar Dil as a supporting actress. Later that year, she starred in Adventures of Tarzan, where she played the lead opposite Hemant Birje. After the film, she continued to work throughout the late 1980s, followed by notable films such as Mera Lahoo (1987), Dariya Dil (1988), Sone Pe Suhaaga (1988), Gair Kanooni (1989), Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharnii (1989) and Khoon Ka Karz (1991).

Meenakshi made her film debut in Painter Babu (1983) and received wider public recognition with the film Hero (1983). She became one of Hindi cinema's leading actresses in the 1980s and 1990s, and was acknowledged for several of her performances, her beauty, and her accomplished dancing.She was noted for her performances in films including Hero (1983) Meri Jung (1985), Swati (1986), Dacait (1987), Inaam Dus Hazaar (1987), Shahenshah (1988), Mahaadev (1989), Awaargi (1990), Jurm (1990), Ghayal (1990), Ghar Ho To Aisa (1990), Damini (1993), Duet (1994) and Ghatak (1996).She received particular critical acclaim for Swati (1986), Dahleez (1986), Satyamev Jayate (1987), Awaargi (1990), and Damini (1993).She also performed at the Khajuraho Dance Festival in the 1990s.

Daughter of Jagdish Raj, whose notable roles include Films Prem Geet (1981), Kusum in Zara Si Zindagi (1983), Anita in Zameen Aasman (1984) and Shobha in Masterji (1985).[2] She is known for playing Rajmata Devvadan Singh Deo in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani and Kulwant Kaur Dillon in Choti Sarrdaarni.

Kaur started her film career as the lead opposite Rishi Kapoor in the movie Laila Majnu (1976). Subsequently, she acted in hits like Pati Patni Aur Woh (with Sanjeev Kumar) and Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se (with Sachin). She made a fabulous team with Mithun Chakravorty in films such as Surakshaa, Tarana, Humse Badhkar Kaun, Aadat Se Majboor, Baazi and Gunahon Ka Devta.

Starting off as an unknown girl from Meerut, Yasmin was rejected by at least three film makers before Ranjit Virk changed her name to Mandakini and signed her up for Mazloom. Before the film could take off, Raj Kapoor discovered her at age 22 and cast her in a lead role in the 1985 movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili with the screen name "Mandakini" opposite his youngest son, Rajiv Kapoor.

Farha made her debut in "Faasle" in 1985 under the Yash Chopra films banner. She was one of the prominent actresses in Bollywood in the late eighties and early nineties. She was paired with Prosenjit Chatterjee in 1989 Bengali movie "Aamar Tumi". Farha's landmark films were Naseeb Apna Apna (1986), Imaandaar (1987), Hamara Khandaan (1987), Naqab (1989),[Yateem (1988), Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri (1990), Begunaah (1991), Bhai Ho To Aisa (1995) and Sautela Bhai (1996).

Bindiya was discovered at a party, when she was a teenager, by Hema Malini's mother. She felt that Bindiya had a resemblance to Hema and recommended her to film producers. Bindiya's first Hindi film was Jeevan Jyoti opposite Vijay Arora.

From 1988, she played the role of Maharani Chitrangadhaa, mother of Babruvahana, in Mahabharat Katha TV show. She acted in a TV serial called Betaal Pachisi with Tom Alter and Shahbaz Khan.
