Mahashivratri Special : Bollywood's special connect with Lord Shiva

Superstar Ranbir Kapoor's biggest release till date Brahmastra will see the Kapoor senior essay the role of a character named Shiva who will possess special powers in the film. The makers of the film, revealed the film's logo in the most unique way using drones at the popular Kumbh Mela on the special day of Mahashivratri.

Shivaay, Ajay Devgn's second directorial venture had the actor play the role of a mountaineer named Shivaay in the movie. The film was symbolic of Lord Shiva as the destroyer of all evil. The movie which was shot in foreign location was a box-office hit and Ajay's character in the film was appreciated by both critics and audience alike.

Sara Ali Khan's debut film Kedarnath which was based on the 2013 Uttarakhand floods had a special Lord Shiva connect. The character of Mansoor played by Sushant represented the selfless and benevolent nature of Shiva. The movie was a ode to Lord Shiva by the filmaker Abhishek Kapoor.

Actor Prabhas playing the role of a man named Shiva and who grows up to be a great devotee of Lord Shiva. The scene of him carrying the Shivalinga on his broad shoulders is still etched in the memory of the fans.The film also has a song ‘Kaun Hai Vo’ dedicated to Lord Shiva which plays during the time Prabhas carries the idol of the deity.

Satellite Shankar which was Sooraj Pancholi's second bollywood flick after Hero had a Lord Shiva connect. In the movie, Sooraj can temporarily teleport his fellow jawaans to their near and dear ones using a gadget that has something to do with Lord Shiva. He believes you only need to form connections in your heart and you can be anywhere and with anyone you want.
