Queen - Queen catapulted Kangana to the big league. A film about a young girl who goes on her honeymoon alone after her fiancé calls off their wedding at the last moment. A beautiful film that inspired many to go on solo trips, Kangana’s Rani struck a chord with one and all. She won Filmfare and National Award for this film.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns -A sequel of the 2011 movie “Tanu Weds Manu”. In this movie directed by Aanand L. Rai, Kangana plays a double role of Tanu and Poti and surprised the viewers by portraying two completely different roles. She bagged the National Award for Best Actress that year too.

Woh Lamhe - A film based on the life of yesteryear actress Parveen Babhi, Kangana played a schizophrenic actress dealing with demons inside her. Directed by Mohit Suri, the ace actress delivered a superlative performance of a scared, vulnerable, tormented girl.
Judgementall Hai Kya - In the film, Kangana played the role of Bobby, who is diagnosed with acute psychosis. She plays the role of the protagonist alongside Rajkummar Rao. Kangana was very much appreciated for this unique role. However, the film opened to mixed reviews upon its release.
