Priyanka Chopra joins the star cast of Keanu Reeves' 'Matrix 4'

Priyanka Chopra will star in the fourth film of the Matrix series, Matrix 4. The film stars Keanu Reeves in the lead role. Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Neil Patrick Harris are playing leading roles in the film.

According to a report in Variety, Priyanka Chopra is currently shooting for the film, which resumed after production was halted due to the novel coronavirus outbreak. The cast of Matrix 4 trained for weeks for fight sequences in the film.

Reportedly, the cast of the flick did training for weeks to perform their action sequences precisely!

Reeves explained last month, why he decided to reprise his iconic role of Neo in 'The Matrix 4', touting the new movie's "wonderful" storyline. He first portrayed the character in the 1999 original film.

lLast week, Priyanka also signed a ‘two-year multimillion-dollar first-look television deal’ with Amazon. Through this deal, she aims to bring more South Asian representation to the global television.

She will also be seen in Sheela. She will portray the role of Ma Anand Sheela, assistant to guru Bhagwan Rajneesh (also known as Osho), in the Netflix docu-series.

Apart from these, Priyanka also The White Tiger in the pipeline, an adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s novel of the same name, along with Rajkummar Rao.

The Matrix, the original film of the franchise was released in 1999. Starring Keanu, the science fiction action film was heavily influenced by martial arts films.
