Sooryavanshi to Jersey: Release dates of films after reopening of theatres from October 22

Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey which was initially slated to release on November 5, 2021 will hit screens on December 31, 2021.

Rohit Shetty's cop drama will release on Diwali this year, he shared on social media on Saturday. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Sooryavanshi stars Akshay Kumar in the titular role while Katrina Kaif plays his love interest. Actors Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, who have starred in the director's cop films before, will make special appearances in the movie. Sooryavanshi is among the movies, which have opted for a theatrical release instead of digital streaming, and hence been rescheduled several times owing to the pandemic situation.

Another big budget film Prithviraj will be releasing worldwide on Jan 21, 2022. It stars Akshay Kumar in and as king Prithviraj Chauhan. Manushi Chhillar will be making her acting debut in this film. She will be seen as Sanyogita. Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood will be seen in pivotal roles. The film is helmed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi.

Shamshera starring superstar Ranbir Kapoor is an adrenaline pumping entertainer which is set to release on March 18, 2022. The film will star Vaani Kapoor opposite Ranbir for the first time. Sanjay Dutt will be seen playing the merciless nemesis in this visual extravaganza. It is directed by Karan Malhotra.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar, starring superstar Ranveer Singh and Shalini Pandey will be releasing worldwide on February 25, 2022. A family entertainer set in Gujarat, the actor will be seen playing a Gujarati man, who becomes an unlikely hero. The film is helmed by Divyang Thakkar.

On Sunday, Aamir Khan Productions announced that his much-awaited movie Laal Singh Chaddha has been rescheduled - the film's release has been pushed from Christmas this year to Valentine's Day of 2022. The makers said the decision was taken after the film's production was delayed several times because of the pandemic.

Ranveer Singh's much awaited sports drama based on India's 1983 World Cup campaign will release on Christmas this year. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam." '83 was earlier supposed to release in June this year, ahead of which, the film was rescheduled several times. When theatres were shut during the pandemic induced lockdown, several big Bollywood movies released on OTT platforms but '83 turned out to be one of the first Bollywood films, whose makers officially announced that they will release it in theatres post-lockdown.

Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty, who is going to make his acting debut, and Tara Sutaria starrer Tadap will soon hit the theatres on December 3, 2021.

Bachchan Pandey starring Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon will be releasing on March 4, 2022.

Heropanti 2 starring Tara Sutaria with Tiger Shroff will hit the theatres on May 6, 2022. The film shooting is going in the UK.
