In her statement to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and in her exclusive interaction with India Today TV, Rhea Chakraborty had said that Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Priyanka Singh had groped her under the influence of alcohol, after which her relations with the actor's family soured.
When India Today contacted Siddharth Tanwar, Priyanka's husband, he declined to comment on the case.
“The matter is under investigation. I would not talk about anything. We are not in the mental state to speak to the media.. it is a difficult time for us,” Tanwar said.
Priyanka is on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter, but she isn't very active on them. Her Twitter bio describes her as, "Naturalist, Star-gazer, Music-lover, Sports lover, Philosopher, Artist, Humorist, Reluctant Activist. In short, a researcher after life. A Lawyer by profession.”
Priyanka has spoken about Sushant Singh Rajput's death on Twitter. On August 19, the Supreme Court transferred the Sushant Singh Rajput death case to the CBI and, on the same day, Priyanka posted a picture with his late brother, welcoming the decision.
On August 1, she had tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding a CBI enquiry in her brother's death case. She wrote, "In the light of obstructions caused to #BiharPolice in the case of @itsSSR ,we humbly demand #CBIforShushant . My brother deserves justice. @PMOIndia @AmitShah, @NitishKumar, help us in the fair probe in the interest of justice #CBIForSSRHomicideCase (sic)."
While talking to India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai, Rhea Chakraborty talked about her relationship with Sushant's family and the time Priyanka groped her.
She said, "My relations with his family weren't good. I had an incident with his sister Priyanka. In a drunk state, she tried to touch me inappropriately, I told Sushant. Uske baad se relations achhe nahi rahe."
The CBI is currently investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
