Thousands of people are struggling every day to book a vaccine slot on CoWin portal or Aarogya Setu app - as they disappear as soon as they become available.

A vaccination campaign on corona has been launched by the government. Also, the government is appealing to the citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible. However, due to the shortage of vaccines, many citizens are facing issues to book their vaccine slot.

Luckily, tech giants and independent researchers are coming up with solutions that will let Indians find a vaccine centre with available vaccine slots. Here are some tools you might want to check that will help you get the COVID-19 vaccine around your area.

1. VaccinateMe - VaccinateMe is a simple tool of HealthyFy fitness app. You can get information about available slots by entering the pin-code/district name. Moreover, if slots are not currently available, you will be able to access the relevant slots from this platform

Paytm launched a platform 'COVID-19 Vaccine Finder' on its Mini App store. Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma took to Twitter to share the new feature in the Paytm app called COVID-19 Vaccine Slot Finder. The COVID-19 Vaccine Slot Finder tool has been rolled out to Paytm apps for both Android and iOS devices. The tool takes real-time data from CoWIN and stands for COVID Vaccine Intelligence Network. In a statement, the company said that the platform will help citizens to check the availability of vaccination slots for the next four weeks. For this, they have to individually enter different pin codes or district details along with age group (18+ or 45+).

3. Co-WIN- As mentioned earlier, even if users use any other apps or websites, the Covid-19 vaccination slot is available on Co-WIN website and can be booked on the app for Android users. CoWIN is the only portal for this registration. The Co-win platform provides the most traditional way of finding the availability of slots, i.e. you can check the availability of the vaccine by entering the pin code in person.

4. Getjab.in- From this platform you will get information via email whether the vaccine slot is available or not. The platform was created by Shyam Sundar, an alumnus of ISB, and his colleagues. You will need to provide your name, email, location, alternate phone number, etc. to get information from it.

5. WhatsApp MyGov Corona Helpdesk - Launched in March 2020, the WhatsApp MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot also lets you know about available vaccines and vaccination centers. The process to find a vaccine centre is simple and users have to save the number 9013151515 on their Android or iOS smartphone. User can also use the chatbot via WhatsApp Desktop or Web by clicking on the link: wa.me/919013151515. Once the MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot is launched, WhatsApp users will need to send ‘hi’ or ‘hello.’ After a moment, an automated response will ask users to select an option for their COVID-related info - in this case, to find the vaccine centre nearest to their location. Notably, users can chat with the chatbot in Hindi by sending the text Hindi or हिंदी.
