For more than 3 months, the whole world has been facing the Coronavirus pandemic. Measures like lockdown, social distancing are being taken all over the world to prevent the spread of the disease. Efforts are also underway to find a vaccine against corona.

A leaked Pentagon memo is said to have warned of a 'globally-persistent' coronavirus lasting until the summer of 2021, with no vaccine before then.

The unsigned document, seen by Task and Purpose, also details the 'real possibility of a resurgence' of COVID-19 in the coming months.

The memo reads: 'All indications suggest we will be operating in a globally-persistent COVID-19 environment in the months ahead.

'This will likely continue until there is wide-scale immunity, through immunization, and some immunity post-recovery from the virus.'

Laying out a framework for the military going forward it adds: 'We have a long path ahead, with the real possibility of a resurgence of COVID-19.

So far, 15 lakh 28 thousand 566 corona patients have been found in the United States. Also, 91 thousand 921 people have died so far.

Meanwhile, there have been some positive reports about the corona vaccine in the United States. However, it is not yet possible to say with certainty when the corona vaccine will reach the general public.
