Vaccination had picked up speed in the first week of April in the state. However, due to non-availability of vaccines on demand, there was a shortage of vaccines in the middle of the month.

The number of vaccination dropped again in the first week of May as citizens between the ages of 18 and 44 were vaccinated from May 1.

On the one hand, there are not enough vaccines available. On the other hand, there are queues at vaccination centers. There is an atmosphere of confusion as there is no information on how many doses are available at the center.

Senior citizens are not getting vaccinated even after waiting in line for hours. So they have to face issues and visit the centres many times.

Seeing the crowd at the vaccination center, social distancing ha gone for toss and it is seen that there is a big crowd of senior citizens waiting for vaccination.

Those who have completed the seven-eight week period with the first dose, are still waiting to get the second dose. At the same time, citizens are suffering due to lack of planned information.

Many come to the vaccination center for questioning. But there is confusion about vaccination as the staff at the center do not know when the vaccine will be available.

A second dose will be given once the vaccine is available, it is said. But the local administration is also facing a dilemma as there is no certainty as to when the vaccine will be available.

Citizens, on the other hand, are being deceived by bogus registrations by creating fake apps by some miscreants. Therefore, the police have issued a warning.

A message has been issued by the Maharashtra Cyber Police Department urging citizens not to share their private information with fake apps and any non-government internet system.
