The MVA government has been hitting the headlines ever since they rose into power with opposition trying to bully the government with various allegations against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his family.

Pooja Chavan, a resident of Parli Vaijanath in Beed district, died after falling from the balcony of an apartment in Pune’s Hadapsar area on February 8. It was speculated that Rathod, who belongs to the Banjara community, was close to Pooja. Soon after the death of Chavan, several photos and audio clips surfaced purportedly linking Rathod to her. After her death, Rathod went missing for two weeks, made no public appearance and was not seen in his office in Mantralaya. His absence and his silence increased misgivings about his links to the woman, an aspiring model. It also increased troubles for the MVA government and his party with the BJP alleging that the Shiv Sena was sheltering the minister, and demanding a free and fair investigation into her death.

On 25 February, at around 3 PM, the Mumbai Police received information of a suspicious car parked outside the residence of Mukesh Ambani. The Police team reached the spot immediately with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS). The car (green Scorpio) was spotted by security personnel outside his residence. Loaded with explosive gelatin sticks, the car was towed away by the bomb disposal squad. A primary investigation from the CCTV revealed that the car had been parked near the residence since 1 AM, intervening night on between Wednesday-Thursday. A purported threat letter was also found in the car. Yesterday, Mansukh Hiren, the registered owner of the Scorpio abandoned outside the Ambanis' home was found dead in Thane.

Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis has said that the case is very challenging and complex and has cast doubt on Sachin Vaze an encounter specialist. He claimed that there was a phone conversation between Vaze and Mansukh Hiren.

Mansukh Hiren's post mortem was carried out at Thane Municipal Corporation's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital. According to the report, Hiren died due to drowning. Hiren's viscera will be sent to a forensic lab for further investigation. Hiren's family took his body into custody after receiving autopsy report, police said.

A few months back, Disha Salian had committed suicide by jumping from a building in Malad. Opposition groups claimed that the girl had been raped. She was also the manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Disha fell to her death from a high-rise building on the night of June 8, while Sushant was found dead in his apartment on June 14. Many, including former actor and talk show host Simi Garewal, have alleged that the two deaths are connected.

Hiren's sudden death has raised many questions as to whether it was a murder or suicide. Overall, the issue has taken a different turn, with BJP state vice-president Chitra Wagh raising some questions directly to the Thackeray government. A tweet in this regard has been made by Chitra Wagh on Saturday where she has demanded impartial investigation in Hiren's death case.

Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Maharashtra Nitesh Rane also targetted the ruling MVA government on the rising list of suspicious deaths in Maharashtra. Taking to his Twitter Rane wrote, Disha Salian - was happy but committed suicide ,Sushant singh Rajput - was ambitious but committed suicide , Puja chavan - was too strong but committed suicide , Mansukh Hiren - wife says he can’t commit suicide ! This is what happens in Maharashtra under Maha Vikas Aghadi!
