International day for the Abolition of Slavery, 2 December, the main focus on this day is on eradicating contemporary forms of slavery, such as trafficking in persons, sexual exploitation, the worst forms of child labour, forced marriage, and the forced recruitment of children for use in armed conflict. This day is observed in all over the world from 1986 to raise the awareness about slavery. Here are some movies that raise the voice on slavery.

12 Years a Slave is a 2013 biographical period-drama film directed by Steve McQueen. The movie is based on the 1853 slave memoir Twelve Years a Slave by Solomon Northup, a New York State-born free African-American man who was kidnapped in Washington, D.C. by two conmen in 1841 and sold into slavery.

Dassi is an Indian Telugu language film focuses on slavery of women. The story plot a bonded woman known as Daasi in Hyderabad State who has been sold by her family for money to be the servant of a wealthy couple.

A Kannada movie based on a True story of a gold mine in Kolar and focuses on slavery.

Adimai Penn is a 1969 Indian Tamil-language action adventure film directed by K. Shankar.It revolves around the efforts of a deceased king's son to free the enslaved people of a kingdom from their tyrant king.

Vidheyan is a 1994 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed and written by Adoor Gopalakrishnan.The film explores the master-slave relationship in a South Karnataka setting.
