This year's budget has helped some key sectors to decide who is happy and who is unhappy but the middle class, the employees, are shocked.

The health sector will benefit the most from this year's budget. The finance minister has announced Rs 2.38 lakh crore. In the previous budget, there was a provision of Rs 94,000 crore for the health sector. Now it has directly increased by 135 per cent.

Senior citizens have been relieved by the budget. Those over 75 will no longer have to pay any taxes. No tax will be levied on their pension.

A separate company will be set up to recover the bad debts of the banks. This is expected to bring relief to the banking sector.

There is not much in the hands of the employees from this year's budget. The tax ceiling was expected to be raised under 80C. The tax-free income limit was expected to be raised. But none of this happened.

The general public has not received anything from this year's budget. On the contrary, due to the imposition of customs duty and surcharge on many items, other products including mobiles will become more expensive.
