Railway Reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance from 31st May

Increasing transmission and lockdown of the coronavirus has disrupted passenger rail traffic in the country. Although some workers are currently operating special trains and 200 trains will be operated by the railways from June 1, regular train services are currently underway.

However, the Ministry of Railways has started preparations to bring back the train services disrupted due to coronavirus and lockdown.

As part of the same, the Ministry of Railways has announced to make it possible for passengers to make reservations 120 days in advance. From May 31, passengers will be able to make advance reservations. The booking counter for reservations will be open from 8 a.m. on May 31st.

Also, from May 31, passengers will be able to make immediate reservations for emergency travel.

Apart from that, parcel booking for 230 trains starting from June 1 will also start from June 1. Booking counters will start at 8 a.m. on May 31st.

Indian Railways has announced the launch of 200 trains from June 1. Reservations have also started from May 22. These trains will be different from labor and AC trains.

Due to the lockdown, the country's railways have been closed since March 22. Meanwhile, the railways has started running 30 special trains on 15 routes from May 12.
