The number of coronavirus patients in the world has gone beyond measure. The number of COVID-19 patients in India is close to 5 lakh. Research is underway around the world for a vaccine in view of the growing number of patients.

There are currently more than 125 vaccines in the world. These vaccines on coronavirusare currently in various stages. India has an important place in the international efforts to manufacture the vaccine.

Research on three or four vaccines is also underway in India. However, if none of these efforts are successful, India is preparing to get the corona vaccine. This important task is entrusted to three special individuals.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Chief Scientific Adviser Dr. K. Vijayaraghavan and the Department of Biotechnology are working in this direction.

Research on coronavaccine is underway in India. But if it fails, it will not cause much damage. Because India will play an important role in the distribution of that vaccine, said Vijayaraghavan.

India has the potential to produce large quantities of vaccines. For this, India is known in the world. Therefore, India cannot be ignored, said Vijayaraghavan.

Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla is in touch with his US counterpart Steve Bijan. He is also in regular contact with officials in Japan, Australia and South Korea.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has the responsibility of liaising with very important countries. He is in talks with officials in the United States and Israel. Apart from this, officials from Brazil and South Korea are also in touch with Jaishankar.

At present, more than 125 corona vaccines are being researched in the world, said Vijayaraghavan, Chief Scientific Adviser to the Prime Minister. 10 out of 125 vaccines are in the first phase of research. The second phase of 8 vaccine tests (animal and human) started.

Currently only two vaccines are in the third phase (large-scale human trials). His findings will come in the next few months, said Vijayaraghavan.

For the first time in the world, work is underway on such a large number of vaccines simultaneously. The Serum Institute of India is the largest vaccine manufacturing institution in the world. Therefore, if the corona vaccine is developed anywhere in the world, it will be produced in large quantities at the Serum Institute of India.
