CHC in-charge Dr. Rajarshi Tripathi said that such cases are called quintuplets in which multiple deliveries take place. As a precaution, women and children have been asked to go to a hospital in Lucknow.

Anita Gautam (age 32) of Kutlupur in Suratganj gave birth to five children. Her husband Kundan Gautam said a child was born after his wife Anita went to the bathroom in the morning in pain.

At eight in the morning, four children were born there. Doctors rushed the five children and his wife to the district women's hospital.

Dr. Indrabhuvan Tiwari, Pediatrician, District Women's Hospital, said that Anita gave birth prematurely in 7 months. A child has a head injury. The rest are fine but premature birth can lead to problems in full development of blood vessels, brain, lungs, eyes and heart of the child.

Dr. Rajarshi Tripathi said the case is called Quintuplet. All children are underweight, so first of all we have the challenge of normalizing the weight of these children.
