Coronavirus: DRDO lab develops automated UV systems to sanitize electronic gadgets, papers and currency notes

The coronavirus has created an atmosphere of fear around the world. While all states are taking appropriate precautions to prevent the growing corona infection, many countries have announced lockdown to curb the spread of the virus.

India has been able to avoid large-scale damage caused by the coronavirus. Given the current situation in India, the lockdown will continue till May 17.

The situation in the country is worrisome because of COVID-19. The number of coronaviruses in India has risen to 67,152. Corona has claimed the lives of 2206 people in the country.

All precautionary measures are being taken to prevent coronavirus infection. Attempts are being made to gain control over the virus through social distancing and quarantine.

Some states in the country have won the battle against the Coronavirus. The number of cases has decreased in some states. Technology is also being used extensively to gain control over the deadly virus.

It is advisable to wash your hands regularly with a sanitizer to prevent corona infection. However there are other things like phones, money, laptops. The virus can survive on it.

There is no need to worry now because everyday technology like phones, money and other items can be sanitized with the help of this technology.

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has developed a phone sterilization device without any contact.

The device has been manufactured at DRDO's laboratory in Hyderabad. He has informed about this from his Twitter account.

The device is named Defense Research Ultraviolet Sanitizer (DRUS).

All types of phones, iPads, laptops, currency notes and some other items can be sterilized through this device.

This device is fitted with a proximeter sensor. When the device is turned on, it automatically completes the disinfection process.

Other items, including phones, are sterilized in the DRUS device. When disinfection is complete the device automatically goes into slip mode.

The DRDO said there was no need for human contact when all these procedures were completed.
