Whatsapp is likely to place some new features on the app

WhatsApp was working on a feature for selected people to hide their profile photo, last seen and about section. Now, according to a new report, WhatsApp has released this feature for Whatsapp Android beta users.

To get this new feature, users need to upgrade to the latest WhatsApp beta version of Android 2.21.23.14. For this new feature in the beta version, users have to go to privacy settings and select the 'My Contacts Except' option here.

Users will get this option for WhatsApp profile picture, last seen, and about info. Currently, WhatsApp is giving users the option to hide the last scene and about information for all, ie hide or just show the contact.

When users select new options. Selected contacts will not be able to see your profile picture, last seen, and about info.

Currently, this feature has been released for specific beta users. In that case, if you do not see this feature, you may have to wait a bit.

WhatsApp is also testing a new Community feature. This will allow admins to create subgroups within groups. The company has also added features like image editing and sticker suggestion to the web version.

The community feature gives group admins more power within the group. It can also be used to create groups within a group. The Community feature was seen in the latest beta version of WhatsApp 2.21.21.6. XDA Developers has reported this.

According to reports, invitations can be arranged in the community via a link or QR code. This allows other users to join and participate. The report says that WhatsApp users can join the community through the link.

With the community feature, admins can have more control over groups. This allows them to get a channel to message in the community. Also, admins can be given more roles like community managers. However, there is still no information from WhatsApp company about this.

Through the Community feature, WhatsApp wants to bridge the gap between other messaging platforms like Telegram and Signal.
