No entry in Haryana without testing negative for COVID-19: Anil Vij

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Sunday said the state will not allow entry to people unless they test negative for coronavirus. He said the state has indicated to the Centre that commercial activities may be resumed in areas excluding containment zones in Haryana during the fourth phase of the nationwide lockdown. Vij said in this hour of crisis “we have to save lives and focus on expanding business. Hence, there is a need to formulate strict laws along with relaxation in lockdown”. “Just as wearing of helmets is mandatory, in the same manner law should be made for wearing face masks compulsory,” he said in a statement.

Vij said the world is in a crisis and we have to think before taking any step. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already taken a serious note of this issue. He said if there is life there is hope. After a surge of Covid-19 cases in Haryana’s four districts of Gurgaon, Faridabad, Jhajjar and Sonipat bordering national capital Delhi, Haryana had sealed its four districts borders with Delhi.According to Sunday evening Covid bulletin of Haryana government, the total count of Covid patients has touched 910, while 14 have died. The maximum of six patients have died in Faridabad, followed by three in Panipat, two in Ambala and one each in Sonipat, Karnal and Rohtak. Meanwhile, 48 Covid patients recovered and were discharged from Haryana’s hospitals in the last 24 hours taking the state’s recovery rate to 61.75 per cent.
