Union Minister of State External Affairs V Muraleedharan goes into complete isolation as precautionary measure against COVID-19

Union minister and BJP leader V Muraleedharan has gone into self-quarantine after he visited the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute hospital from where a doctor tested positive. A doctor at the institute tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday after his return from Spain. Other doctors who had contacts with the infected doctor were advised to go on leave. The minister decided to go on a 14-day self-quarantine period as a precautionary measure.

Meanwhile, a 64-year-old man, who was undergoing treatment at Mumbai's ​Kasturba hospital. The number of coronavirus cases touched 125 in India on Monday after fresh cases were reported from several states, including Odisha. India has also barred air travellers from Malaysia, Philippines  Afghanistan till month-end to curb the spread of the deadly virus which has claimed 3 lives in India.
