Delhi Municipal cleaning staff gets box of sweets on Diwali, finds cash of Rs 10 lakh

In an incident that took place in Delhi, a cleaner has set an example of honesty by returning Rs 10 lakh received in a sweet box. 

Mayor Nirmal Jain will soon felicitate the East Delhi Municipal Corporation's female cleaning staff. In Kanti Nagar ward, the women cleaning staff of the corporation has set an example of honesty. Roshni was given a bag full of money by a senior citizen instead of a box of sweets. When the woman returned home, she opened the bag and found a box full of cash.

On Tuesday morning, Roshni was sweeping lane number six of the Shankar Nagar extension. Meanwhile, Sonu Nanda, who lives nearby, gave her a box of sweets on the occasion of Diwali. Roshni took the box with her. When she reached home, she opened the bag and was shocked to see bundle of notes, after which she immediately informed Superintendent of Sanitation Jitendra. After this, both of them reached the office of corporator Kanchan Maheshwari. The senior citizen was called in the office and his ten lakh rupees were returned.

After receiving the money, senior citizen Sonu Nanda was very happy and gave Roshni a cash reward of Rs 2,100 for her honesty. Corporator Kanchan Maheshwari said that Roshni has made proud the whole corporation and appreciated her for act of moral uprightness.
