Australia scored a sensational eight-wicket victory against India the first Test, a day-night affair, to take a 1-0 lead in the four-Test series at the Adelaide Oval. After their pace bowlers Pat Cummins (4/21) and Josh Hazlewood (5/8) caused a carnage to skittle out India for 36, their lowest Test total, Australia reached the target of 90 for the loss of just two wickets.

"Very hard to put those feelings into words. We had a lead of 60-odd coming and just collapsed. When you work hard for two days and put yourself in a strong position and then an hour puts you in a position where it's literally impossible to win...," said Kohli appearing at a loss of words after the match.

Kohli will leave for India after this game to attend the birth of his first child. He, however, expressed confidence that the rest of the boys will perform well to make a comeback in the series.

However, Twitterati were not pleased with the Men in Blue's performance and dragged Anushka Sharma into it.

A Twitter user wrote, "Remove Kohli from captaincy.Kohli concentrating more on family matters rather than on team India. He has no dedication to team India.ODI series lost, now Test series lowest total in cricketing history.Looks like Kohli is in a hurry for Anushka's pregnancy." Several others shared some memes on Anushka and Virat after the dismal performance by Team India against Australia.
