In a shocking incident that took place in Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad district, a man posed to be the brother of the newlywed bride and visited her in-laws' place and eloped with her. The bride ran away with her lover after two days of her wedding in Shikohabad town.
When the in-laws couldn't find the bride and her 'brother' in the house, they started searching the two but failed.
As per a report published in Amar Ujala, the groom has filed a complaint at the local police station. The report suggests that police took no action on the complaint and the groom again visited the police station to urge police to find his wife.
The youth got married on November 25. After all the wedding rituals, the youth brought the bride to his home. When the whole family was busy with wedding celebrations, the bride's lover reached her inlaw's house impersonating her brother on November 28.
At some point of time in the night, the bride and her so-called brother ran away from the house with the jewellery.
The groom has alleged that police did not act on his complaint.
