Nagpur, June 9Two city youth, who had gone for picnic along with four friends to Ramtek drowned at Ambala Lake in Ramtek on Tuesday.The deceased have been identified as Nisarg Prabhakar Wagh (18) and Kunal Ashok Neware (18) both residents of Ravinagar.The government lifted restrictions on Monday (June 7) and citizens are just going berserk. Six youths from well to do families of Nagpur had gone for a trip to Ambala Lake area of Ramtek on Tuesday.Even though they could not swim, they went down to bath in the lake. While having fun, four youths started drowning in the lake, white two somehow saved themselves, the two others drowned.Nisarg Wagh, Kunal Neware, Abhinav Jichkar, Pranay Wasnik, Tanmay Kumbhare and Laxmikant Babdilwar reached Ambala in a four wheeler at around 8 am. Currently, the temple and pilgrimage are closed. The vehicle was stopped at the check post. The parked the car on the side and reached Ambala Lake on foot. Four of the friends went to the lake to swim.While having fun here, the four of them started drowning in water. Abhinav Jichkar pulled out Pranay Wasnik and saved him. But Nisarg and Kunal drowned. Nisarg’s body was pulled out by local fishermen. But Kunal’s body was not found till the time of writing the report.The State Disaster Response Force was called. But they could not find the body of Kunal. Their efforts are underway. Nisarg’s body was taken to Ramtek’s Sub-District Hospital for postmortem. PSI Shivaji Borkar and police constable Santosh Marbate are carrying out further investigation in the matter.
