2 arrested for theft in mobile shoppee

Aurangabad, Oct 13:

A Crime Branch team arrested two persons for stealing mobile phones and other items from a mobile shoppee at Kauser Park in Naregaon. They were identified as Shaikh Samir Shaikh Azhar (28, New Indiranagar-Baijipura) and Shaikh Mazhar Sk Pashan (23, Baijipura).

The duo committed the theft at the mobile shoppe owned by Syed Awez Syed Ahmed (Rahmania Colony) on August 25.

Syed Awez lodged a complaint with MIDC Police Station. During the probe, police received information that thieves are from Katkat Gate. Acting on a tip-off, the team comprising assistant inspector Ajabsingh Jarwal, head constable Shivaji Zhine, Rajendra Solunke, Prabhakar Raut, Nitin Deshmukh arrested them and recovered two mobile phones of Rs 11,000 from them. The accused confessed to committing the crime. The crime branch team handed over the thieves to MIDC Cidco Police Station for further action.
