2 minors lose battle with COVID

Aurangabad, April 27:

COVID is gradually turning life-threatening to children in the second COVID wave in the district.

One-month-old boy and a six-year-old girl died of the pandemic virus in the district during the last 24 hours.

With this total, the number of children's death has gone up to seven in a month.

According to details, a one-month boy from Pawri village was admitted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on April 21.

The boy fought for life seven days and died at 9 am today. The doctors cited causes of the death, including severe acute respiratory distressed syndrome with Pneumonia and severe COVID.

Similarly, the six-year-old girl from Mandujali village in Beed was admitted to GMCH on April 26. She died at 8.15 pm on the same day while undergoing treatment. Doctors made all efforts to save children’s lives. The children did not respond to treatment as their condition serious at the time of admission.

Earlier, five children died of the pandemic virus. They were in the age group of 29 days to 14 year age. Experts advised that if any symptom is found in children, take treatment in time.
