3 out of 5 dacoits intending to attempt dacoity arrested

Aurangabad, Oct 16:

Three out of five dacoits from Ahmednagar came to Aurangabad with the intension of dacoity were arrested by the patrolling team of Jinsi police near Gulab Vishwa Mangal Karyalaya on Central Naka to TV Centre road on Thursday midnight. However, two of them managed to flee away from the scene. The police have seized a car, iron rod, rope, chilly power and air gun from the accused.

The arrested have been identified as Sunil Ankush Malekar (26, Alandi Phata, Pune), Shaikh Nasir Shaikh Bashir (26, Karajbaon, Nevasa, Ahmednagar) and Shaikh Salim Shaikh Babu (26, Khatkali, Rahuri). Police have launched a massive manhunt for Shaikh Sameer Shaikh Shabbir (20, Khatkali) and driver Nasir alias Sahil Shamshoddin Syed (22, Pokhri, Ahmednagar).

Under the guidance of PI, Vyankatesh Kendre, police team including API Nazir Pathan, hawaldar Wagh, D R Kakde, Hemant Supekar, Shaikh Osman and Suresh Waghchaure were patrolling on Thursday night. They saw a car parked near Gulab Vishwa Mangal Karyalaya on Central Naka to TV Centre Road. On suspicion, the police asked the people in the car to come out. However, they tried to ran away but the police nabbed three of them while two managed to flee from the scene. During interrogation, they confessed they were planning to commit a dacoity in the city. The police seized an iron road, chilly powder, rope and other articles from them. A case has been registered on the complaint lodged by API Pathan.
