61st Bamu convocation ceremony held 'online' ; Ceremony held in presence of selected dignitaries

Aurangabad, June 25:

The 61st convocation ceremony of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) was held with all appropriate measures and Covid-19 guidelines, today. The online ceremony was held at Bamu auditorium.

Dignitaries including vice-chancellor Dr. Pramod Yeole, pro-vice-chancellor Dr. Shyam Shirsath, registrar Dr. Rajshri Suryavanshi were seated in the first row. The deans of various streams including Dr. Walmik Sarvade, Dr. Chetna Sonkamble, Dr. Bhalchandra Waikar, and Dr. Dhanshri Mahajan, Director - Board of Examinations and Evaluation Dr. Yogesh Patil, members of Management Council Kishore Shitole, principal Dr. Jaisinghrao Deshmukh, Dr. Haridas Vidhate, Dr. Phulchand Salampure, Dr. Rajesh Karpe, Dr. Sachin Deshmukh, Dr. Rahul Mhaske, Dr. Vilas Khandare,

Dr. Pratibha Ahire, Rajendra Madke, and others were also present on the occasion.

The vice-chancellor, pro-vice-chancellor, registrar, directors, deans, management council members participated in the convocation parade and then arrived on the dais. Dr. Yeole read out the university's progress report. Later on, the deans Dr. Waikar, Dr. Sarvade, Dr. Sonkamble, and Dr. Mahajan then requested the students of their respective streams to receive the degrees. The Chancellor and Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari guided the students online on the occasion. AICTE chairman Dr. Anil Sahastrabudhe and the state's higher education minister Uday Samant also delivered their convocation address.

The function was held in presence of selected dignitaries and invitees with all Covid-19 guidelines and SOPs. The big LED screen was displayed in front of the dais so as to telecast the programme.

The names of 422 researchers, upon whom the university is conferring the degree, was read out on the occasion. The announcement of presenting degrees to 81,736 graduates was also made at the ceremony. Senior faculties Dr. Hameed Khan and Dr. Aparna Ashtaputre compered the convocation programme.
