62 Covid-19 patients detected in separate testing drives in city

Aurangabad, April 10:

The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 62 persons as Covid-19 positives during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.

57 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEs

The AMC has tested visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) today. The health teams tested 357 persons and found 12 infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 211 and detected 21 at Harsul T Point PoE, tested 192 and found 11 Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 368 and detected five at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 177 and detected one at Daulatabad T-Point PoE, and seven were detected by testing 166 at Jhalta Phata PoE.

Four Coronavirus infected found in government offices

The testing of visitors was held at seven government offices. The team has detected three Covid-19 positives by conducting antigen tests of six visitors at the AMC headquarter and one by testing two visitors at the High Court. Meanwhile, the testing was also done at the police commissioner's office, RTO office, district collectorate, divisional commissioner's office and registry office, but no infected person was detected today.

One passenger detected

One train passenger, who had arrived in the city on Friday, has been reported as Covid-19 positive today. As reported earlier, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health teams had conducted RT-PCR tests on 96 passengers arriving at the railway station by trains and 26 passengers arriving at Chikalthana airport by planes on April 9. The AMC received the RT-PCR reports of these passengers today. Meanwhile, the AMC health teams have conducted RT-PCR tests of 93 train passengers arriving in the city and 25 tests on air passengers at the airport today (April 10). The administration will receive their reports by tomorrow.
